M.Sc. Biotechnology
Objectives
- To provide students knowledge of DNA technology, industrial and
bioprocess technology, protein engineering, bio-informatics,
biochemistry, biopharmaceuticals and immunology
- To provide students practical skills in specific diagnostic
techniques and handling of sophisticated instruments
- To equip students with skills in developing biotech products based on natural strains of micro organisms and tissue cultures, and various recombinant techniques
- In biotech-based companies and pharma industry
- In pharmaceutical, plant and animal biotechnology, aquatic / fishery
biotechnology and tissue culture industry
- In companies engaged in manufacture of enzymes, vaccines and in crop
improvement and animal husbandry products and services
- In R&D laboratories
