Debapriya Basu is Assistant Professor in English at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, India. Her primary work is in Renaissance English women's writing. Her other interest is Digital Humanities, particularly digital scholarly editing. She has taught in the Postgraduate Diploma Course in Digital Humanities and Cultural Informatics offered by the School of Cultural Texts and Records (SCTR), Jadavpur University, India. She was Project Supervisor in the 'Bichitra Tagore Online Variorum' (a documentary variorum digital edition of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore's manuscript and printed writings in Bengali and English available at www.bichitra.jdvu.ac.in) and is a contributor in Bichitra: The Making of an Online Tagore Variorum (Springer, 2015), edited by Sukanta Chaudhuri. Her current work involves creating an electronic edition of the works of the English Protestant martyr Anne Askew (www.anne-askew.humanities.uva.nl), funded by an Erasmus Mundus fellowship to the University of Amsterdam and supported by IIT Guwahati. She has contributed to the University of Edinburgh Institute of Advanced Studies in the Humanities' 'Dangerous Women' project (http://dangerouswomenproject.org/2016/09/16/anne-askew-2/) and was recipient of the 2018 Moore Institute Fellowship at the National University of Ireland Galway.
