Ug Admission Eligibility

B. Tech. Degree Programme

Nationality

  • The applicant who is applying for admission should either be a Resident or a Non Resident Indian National.
  • Foreign Candidates who studied or is studying abroad can apply directly, but only through foreign category. A separate application form is made available for the same. Kindly check our website for further details.

Qualifying Examination:

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2019 should have either completed or should be appearing for, in any one of the following qualifying examinations in 2019:

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
  • Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • As per VIT Norms, Regular 'NIOS' board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining. Other Open School candidates are not eligible for VITEEE.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the +2 exam through different boards in the same academic year are not eligible to appear for VITEEE-2019.

Eligibility Criteria for the Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2019 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in their qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-engineering and B.Tech. Biotechnology programmes. They are also eligible for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (specialisation in Bioinformatics) and Electronics and Communication (specialisation in Biomedical Engineering) but after joining VIT, registering for Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory.

Age Limit :

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1997 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2019. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing for which they will be disqualified.

B.Des. (Industrial Design)

  • Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply
  • Candidates who have passed XII Board examination or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks and with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply
  • Candidates who have passed XII Board examination or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks and with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for the following categories:
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1997
    Candidates must have a valid UCEED Score

Bachelor of Architecture

Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply

  • Candidates should have born on or after 01.01.1997.
  • "No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and also at least 60% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination"
  • "No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination", for the following categories:
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community
    Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • Candidates must have a valid Score, in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA), India / Candidates who have qualified NATA.
  • NATA exams are to be conducted at national level in major cities as exam centers and the result will be announced by NATA with the ranking list of the candidate. The eligibility and selection process considering the NATA score will be subject to any changes that NATA / COA (Council of Architecture) may propose for institutions to follow, in the current Academic year.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture

  • Only candidates who have the following credentials shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture (4 years) programme
  • Candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education alone are eligible to apply
  • The applicant for admission should be a Resident Indian National Candidate should have born on or after 01.07.1999
  • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination, with minimum of 70% overall aggregate with PCM or PCB or Agriculture (P-Physics, C-Chemistry, M-Mathematics, B-Biology or Botany/Zoology) as subjects
  • A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination, with minimum of 60% overall aggregate with PCM or PCB or Agriculture (P-Physics, C-Chemistry, M-Mathematics, B-Biology or Botany/Zoology) as subjects for the following categories

1. Candidates belonging to SC/ST community
2. Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

UG Science Programme (BCA, B.Sc (CS), B.Com , BBA , B.Sc Multimedia and Animation & B.Sc Catering)

PROGRAMMESELIGIBILITY
B.Sc. Computer Science / BCAA pass in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum of 60% overall aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.
B.Sc. Multimedia and AnimationA pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or A pass in Diploma (10+3) in any stream with a minimum of 60% overall aggregate.
B.Sc. Catering and Hotel ManagementA pass in any stream in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination.
B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce) / BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination, with minimum of 60% overall aggregate. Students must have studied Commerce / Accountancy / Mathematics as one of the subjects.

For B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA / B.Sc. Multimedia and Animation / B.Com / BBA

The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories: 

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST community
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Five-Year Integrated Programme - M.Sc (Biotech) , M.Tech. (Software Engineering)

  • Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1997 are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates should have secured an aggregate of 70% and above in their +2 examination to be eligible to Apply
  • Five year integrated programme for M.Tech Software Engineering minimum of 70% in (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics)
  • The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 60% for the following categories:
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category must fill in the Performa which will be available in the information brochure and it has to be attested by competent authority.
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura should fill in the CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY Performa which will be available in the information brochure and it has to be attested by competent authority.
  • In case the marks statement is not produced by the candidate at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final.

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the state / central board of examination or its equivalent examination with 65% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).

Integrated M.Sc.(Biotechnology) (5 years)

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany / Zoology as subjects with a minimum of 60% overall aggregate.

 Age Limit : Date of Birth falls on or after 01.07.1999

Integrated M.Sc. Computational Statistics and Data Analytics (5 Years)

First Class with a minimum of 60% marks at 10+2 level/Intermediate/CBSE/ICSE/HSC/ or equivalent with Mathematics /Statistics /Computer Science/Business Mathematics as one of the subject.

 Age Limit : Date of Birth falls on or after 01.07.1999

For Integrated M.Tech. Programmes The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 55% for the following categories: 

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST community
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

For Integrated M.Sc. Programmes The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories: 

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST community
  • Candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
