IAPC

The fourth Industry-Academia Partnership Convention is jointly organized by the School of Civil Engineering and the Career Development Centre, scheduled on April 3-4, 2025, at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. The objective of the Convention is to bring experts together from the industry and R&D organizations to enhance collaboration and discuss prime issues based on current societal requirements. This event aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by promoting knowledge exchange, innovation, and the development of cutting-edge solutions in the Civil Engineering field. This convention provides an exceptional platform for participants to network and develop long-lasting partnerships that will shape the future of Civil Engineering practice and education.

ABOUT

SCE

The School of Civil Engineering (SCE) is a part of VIT since its inception. The School has grown tremendously over years and is now recognized as one of the major engineering schools in VIT. The School faculty members are from various reputed institutes such as IITs, IISc etc. Besides high-quality teaching and instruction at both UG and PG levels, the faculty members of the school are actively involved in executing a number of R&D and consultancy projects from government agencies including DST, ISRO, BRNS and also from many reputed industries.

The Career Development Centre (CDC) is essential in establishing VIT's distinguished placement record. It guarantees the seamless operation of placement activities on campus. The CDC enhances student training initiatives and ensures optimal placement in premier national and worldwide enterprises. The CDC office assists with securing placements and organising internships. The Centre is committed to promoting a culture of lifelong learning and to helping students acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in a rapidly changing job market.

The Hackathon Will be in the domain of Landscape Engineering.

Date: 03.04.2025

Reporting Time: 07.30 AM

Hackathon Time: 08.00 AM to 08.00 PM.

Guidelines

  • This challenge can be taken up by students in a group with a maximum of 3 participants.
  • The method of evaluation and the criteria for determining winning and runner-up teams will be solely at the discretion of the panel of judges.
  • Registration fees per person is Rs.150 / (including tax).

Instruction

  • The students have to first do the registration through the payment link available at the IAPC website as an individual.
  • Once the payment is processed successfully, you will receive a confirmation message with an auto generated payment receipt reference number
  • The payment receipt should be uploaded in the Google form provided below (use only VIT mail ID to fill the Google Form)


  • Every member of the team should give the same team name in the Google Form.
  • The detailed report about the project done should be submitted at the end of the Hackathon.
