Vellore Institute of Technology

VIT was established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 and was founded in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College. The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development conferred University status on Vellore Engineering College in 2001, in recognition of its excellence in academics, research and extracurricular initiatives. The University is headed by its founder and Chancellor, Dr. G. Viswanathan, a former Parliamentarian and Minister in the Tamil Nadu Government. In recognition of his service to India in offering world class education, he was conferred an honorary doctorate by the West Virginia University, USA. Currently, VIT has its 5 campus; Vellore, Chennai, Amravati, Bhopal, and Bangalore. NIRF of the MHRD, Government of India, has ranked VIT 10th best in University, 13th best in Research, 11th best in Engineering, 19th best in Overall category in 2024. VIT has gone for accreditation by NAAC [India], IET [UK], and ABET [USA] and follows world class academic processes. VIT is one of the top 2 institutions of India and within the top 501-600 Universities of the world as per Shanghai ARWU Ranking 2024. VIT is in the Top 500 of the QS World University Ranking by Subject 2024 viz; Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. VIT is also ranked by QS World University Ranking, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, US NewsRanking, Round University Ranking, Russia and others. Topics in Chemistry: Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, Bioinorganic, Catalysis, Organometallics, Nanomaterials, Supramolecular chemistry, Peptide & Carbohydrate Chemistry, Natural Product Synthesis, Theoretical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical chemistry.

Call for Papers

The participants are requested to submit the extended abstracts including manuscript title, author(s), affiliation(s) and contact details, with a clear indication of research work, methodology, major results and conclusion. The committee will evaluate the abstracts and will decide whether the paper will be presented as oral or poster, also considering the preference of the authors.

Publications

The registered and successfully presented papers in the conference will be considered for publication in the Scopus Indexed International journals after the peer review process.

Publication Scope under Agriculture discipline

The selected manuscripts after the presentation in the conference will be published as a special issue in Plant Science Today (eISSN: 2348-1900), a Scopus-indexed journal (NAAS: 6.7). Only the manuscripts that successfully pass the peer-review process will be included in the special issue. After submission of the revised manuscript, the publication process typically takes about 2–3 months. Acceptance emails will be sent to the authors directly by the journal. The Authors are required to pay the following Article Processing Charges (APC): USD 160 for faculty and USD 128 for students from India, USD 192 for authors from other countries, plus 18% GST.
