In a real process plant engineers must consider the feasibility and safety of their designed equipment. Heat exchangers play a crucial role in the aspects of cost and safety of the industrial processes. To meet the process challenges like effective utilization of process utilities rigorous design of heat exchangers is mandatory. While doing the rigorous design of heat exchangers understanding the link between rigorous design of heat exchangers and feasibility or risk analysis is an important step which plays a major role in process safety. Identifying the risks in the preliminary design stage itself mitigates the disasters in the process. This training program provides hands-on sessions on rigorous design of various types of industrial heat exchangers and their safety aspects using Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Exchanger Design and Rating (Aspen EDR) models for process plants. The tutorials planned in this training program are the industrially proven tools to design and operate the industrial processes safely, economically and ecofriendly.
