Medical Humanities adopt an interdisciplinary research approach in order to offer a rich insight into the existential and embodied crises of the patients, their family members, and health-care practitioners who narrate about their life being raptured and transformed by illness. Medical Humanities aim to humanize the health-care profession by drawing on critical perspectives from the disciplines such as philosophy, literary studies, medical anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, science and technology studies.
