Project Description

Narrowcasting tailors the message to a smaller and more defined audience. The aim of this project is to do research on various socio-economic issues of the local community and then create awareness. The aim is to customize the content of the message to fit the intended target population in Vellore District. By narrowing the focus on content creation and awareness spreading process, the researchers would reach out even to exile communities. This work will pave way to undertand the issues and need of the targeted community and aim for community development

Social Awareness on Marine Plastics –Aimed to create awareness about the problem of marine plastic pollution and its impact on the environment and human health.Its aim was to promote sustainable practices among fishermen and general public.

Social Media Awareness – Research on potential risks of social media, such as cyberbullying, harassment, and identity theft was made. The awareness program emphasized the importance of reviewing the privacy settings on a regular basis to protect personal information on social media.

Safe and Hygiene practices-I – Aimed to educate residents about the importance of regular septic tank cleaning - Promote safe and hygienic practices for septic tank maintenance - Encourage residents to avail services offered by the Vellore Corporation for septic tank cleaning.

Say No to Plastics – Research was done on the severe environmental consequences of plastic pollution and as a result educate the public about the importance of adopting eco-friendly products.
