Project Description

Present research project intends to functionalize meta sp2 C-H borylation of primary/secondary aromatic amides and enantio- and regioselective aliphatic  C-H bond borylation of primary/secondary amides using artificial enzymatic catalysts. We are introducing second coordination sphere strategies like combining transition metal catalyst and anchoring moiety to create weak interaction to the specific substrates have been employed for C-H bond functionalization of alkanes and arenes viz. The established catalytic protocols are very important in pharmaceutical industry and thus the use of relevant supramolecular catalysts and methodologies for such C-H bond functionalization strategy is mostly essential for late-stage functionalization to support the potential application of these in this catalysis.
