Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is the common entrance test for admission into VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal and VIT Andhra Pradesh. The VITEEE 2020 now, consists of a newly included Aptitude Section. Prior to the addition, the entrance exam comprised of MPCEA (Maths / Physics / Chemistry / English / Aptitude) for B.Tech Courses and BPCEA (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / English / Aptitude) for Bio Stream programmes. The questions in entrance exams are mostly based on the NCERT textbooks and questions for the subjects – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The foundation for the entrance exam can be established by a thorough study of NCERT textbooks. The English section in the entrance exam consists of comprehension reading and answering. Lately, the English section for the entrance exam would include grammar correction and pronunciation-based questions. This year, a new aptitude section is included for the entrance exam. The decision to include this section in the entrance exam is based on the feedback and inputs from various other industries and academic schools.
What does the Aptitude Section in VIT Entrance Exam consist of?
The Aptitude Section in VIT Entrance Exam will comprise of ten questions. These questions are deemed to test one's numerical and verbal ability. The topics in the entrance exam would cover for the aptitude section would include Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Syllogism, Number series, Coding and Decoding and Clocks, Calendars and Directions. These topics are just a rough list of topics that would be included in the entrance exam.
How do you prepare for the Aptitude section for the Entrance Exam?
Answering the aptitude section is mastered through experience and comes out of a habit. Therefore, one needs to practice regularly for achieving excellence in the entrance exam. Usually, the students concentrate more on the core subjects and take aptitude lightly. But the entrance exam is shifting its focus more on the aptitude section for 2020. Other changes in the Entrance Exam.
In VIT Entrance Exam 2020, the sections of Physics and Chemistry would now comprise of 35 questions each.
