Admission: The admission automation is
concerned with issuing online
applications, entrance examination,
result processing, capturing student
profile and handling multi city
counselling, register number
generation, day wise/month wise/ gender
wise reporting utilities, handling
programme transfer and so on. Finance:
The finance module promotes go cashless
move by processing all transactions
through online payment mode for various
fees related to students and
programmes. This module facilitates
personnel management from the
perspective of payroll, advance
payments and loans. Purchases: It is
for inventory management and related
activities. Through this module, the
university maintains a single point of
contact for all materials procurement
and payment for the same. Academics:
Various functions embedded include
managing academic council proceedings,
handling programmes and courses,
scheduling of courses, course
registration, and attendance
management. The amendments imposed by
the academics office are implemented
through this module. This system
implementation is based on the rules
fixed for Fully Flexible Credit System
(FFCS) and Curriculum for Applied
Learning (CAL). The data handled
through this will support semester
abroad programmes and student
internships. Hostels: The modules
include automation of hostel room
allotment, mess allotment, mess bill
calculation, room electricity bill
generation, biometric attendance, and
on duty/leave management.. Research:
The processes associated with academic
research like research admission,
handling selfstudy course registration,
formation of doctoral committee,
maintaining records of comprehensive
exam, colloquium, synopsis meeting and
thesis evaluation are automated. The
research systems enables faculties to
provide data regarding the
publications, sponsored research,
books/chapters/monographs/case studies
which can further be used for ranking
and accreditation purpose. Library: It
provides provision to linkup the data
from library management system to VTOP
