VIT was established with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards. The global standards set at VIT in the field of teaching and research spur us on in our relentless pursuit of excellence. In fact, it has become a way of life for us. The highly motivated youngsters on the campus are a constant source of pride. Our Memoranda of Understanding with various international universities are our major strength. They provide for an exchange of students and faculty and encourage joint research projects for the mutual benefit of these universities. Many of our students, who pursue their research projects in foreign universities, bring high quality to their work and esteem to India and have done us proud. About SCE
The School of Civil Engineering (SCE) is a part of the institute since the inception of VIT. The School has grown tremendously over the past thirty years and is now recognized as one of the major engineering school in VIT. The School has faculty members from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs etc. Besides high quality teaching and research at both UG and PG levels, the faculty members of the school are actively involved in executing a number of R & D and Consultancy projects from government agencies including DBT, DST, ISRO, UGC, AICTE, and also from many reputed industries. The School offers two postgraduate programs: M.Tech in Structural Engineering & M.Tech in Construction Technology and Management. The School of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculty members continues to maintain and cultivate its strong link with the infrastructural industry such as L & T, HCC, DLF, RAMCO, CCL, Godrej, TATA Consultancy, etc. The school has also regularly benefited from international linkages facilitated by University-level MoUs with a number of leading foreign Universities such as Deakin University, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), West Virginia University, North Dakota State University etc.
About Conference
The intent of organizing the international conference is to provide tremendous opportunities to academics, researchers, and practicing engineers to share the scientific knowledge, industrial experiences, and research outcomes. The theme of conference is "Recent Advancement in Concrete Materials and Engineering Structures" which covers the latest research and techniques applied in Concrete Technology and Structural Engineering arena. Also, this provides an opportunity to develop network and collaborations with International and National Universities and Industries. The beneficiaries of the conference are faculties and research scholars from academia and developers, contractors, and engineers from industry. This would definitely be a platform for knowledge sharing and getting acquainted with latest developments in the emerging technologies in areas such as bridge engineering, tall buildings, steel, masonry and timber structures, earthquake and wind engineering, repair, strengthening and rehabilitation of structures, and optimization of structural elements.
