Contest Brief

In the context of ZEMCH 2024, the 11th Zero Energy Mass Custom Home International Conference, we are hosting a logo design contest. The contest is open for people from all realms to create a suitable logo that is relatable to the concept of ZEMCH 2024. The vision of this conference is to discover the next generation of revolutionary approaches and cutting-edge technologies that will reinvent the fundamental core of sustainable design and construction of built environment. Our focus is on zero energy mass customization, where energy efficiency effortlessly integrates with personalized living spaces that not only preserve resources but also reflect the specific preferences and demands of its occupants. The mission of the conference includes the following:

• Tailored Living: Discover how technology, design, and imagination come together to create homes that are as unique as their residents.

General Instructions

• The aim is to design a logo for ZEMCH 2024 conference
• Participation in the contest is on an individual basis.
• The designs submitted should be original and should be designed by the participant
• One participant can submit only one entry.
• The logo should be created on a digital platform
• The entry should be uploaded in JPEG/JPG/PNG format
• The size of logo shall be within 30cm X 30cm
• The logo shall be either in landscape or portrait format
• The logo design shall not be imprinted or watermarked
• The 1st prize winner shall submit the design in an editable format

Submission Requirements

• Logo in JPEG/JPG/PNG format of high resolution with minimum 300 dpi
• A brief write-up about logo not more than 500 words

• Originality, Creativity and Simplicity

• 1st Prize – 10000 INR + 50% Discount on ZEMCH Workshop + Free entry to conference
• 2nd Prize – 7000 INR + 30% Discount on ZEMCH Workshop + Free entry to conference
• 3rd Prize – 5000 INR + 20% Discount on ZEMCH Workshop + Free entry to conference
• 5 Commendations – 20% Discount on ZEMCH Workshop + Free entry to conference

Terms and Conditions

• The School of Architecture, Vellore Institute of Technology hosts the contest in collaboration with ZEMCH network.
• The entry must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual rights of any third party. The School of Architecture, VIT and ZEMCH network is not responsible for any such violations or infringements. Plagiarism of any nature would not be allowed.
• The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
• One participant can submit only one entry. Multiple entries from the participant shall lead to disqualification.
• Once submitted for the competition, copyrights of the Logo will solely be with the School of Architecture, Vellore Institute of Technology.
• Entries with incomplete registration details shall not be considered.
• School of Architecture, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest. However, any changes will be updated/ posted on the ZEMCH 2024 website.
• The entry should not have been previously published in any print or digital media.
• The winners will be declared on ZEMCH 2024 website. There will not be any separate notification through e-mail.
• The decision of the jury would be final and binding on all the participants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants in this regard.
• The winning entries shall be used by School of Architecture, Vellore Institute of Technology on all types of social media as well as in all sort of printable formats
• All disputes/legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Tamil Nadu only. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the parties themselves.
