Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, INDIA and Swansea University, UK, proudly announce Indo-UK Virtual Conference on 'Current Innovations and the Future of Therapeutic Developments' to be held on June 01-03, 2020 through zoom webinar. This conference will host leading scientists from the academia and industry worldwide who will deliver their talk on cutting edge advances in various disciplines on drug discovery, development of new medications and therapies. The focus of the conference will be on the interdisciplinary approaches at the interface of engineering and diagnostics, chemistry, drug development, cell biology and translational medicine. The conference aims to provide many interesting perspectives on how science and technology of drug discovery and drug therapy are changing rapidly, thereby providing new opportunities to scientists and clinicians.
A brain-storming panel discussion on ‘In search of coronavirus treatments – the opportunities and challenges in India’ is an important component of this virtual conference. Heads of various institutions, eminent scientists, clinicians, and policy makers will address the key questions such as, How India is dealing with the coronavirus outbreak? What are the challenges in finding a cure for coronavirus? What are the hurdles in bringing a drug for viral diseases? How India can play a major role in Covid-19 vaccine development?
An opportunity will be given to 10 PhD students to share their research outcome through oral and e-poster presentation. Prizes for the best talks and e-posters will presented based on the reviewers’ evaluation. E-certificate will be provided for the participation signed by the organizers.
It is anticipated that at least 1500-2000 participants from various parts of India will be joining this meeting. This webinar series targets B.Tech/M.Tech, Masters students, PhD research scholars, and early career researchers from chemistry, pharmaceutical, biomedical, life sciences, and nanotechnology disciplines.
During the three days, the participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest research trends in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development.
