2.5.3 - IT integration and reforms in the examination procedures and processes (continuous internal
assessment and end-semester assessment) have brought in considerable improvement in examination
management system of the institution

Some Unique Features of VIT Examinations

Scheduling : Either slot-wise or Course wise as per the course
registration / requirement. As exam activities are managed digitally
no printed hall ticket will be issued.

Grading : Both relative and absolute grading are practised based on
the type and mode of the course and also based on the number of
students enrolled in each class.

Exam Mode : a. Paper (normal) mode, b. online mode (CBT), c. Remote
Proctored Online Open Book / Notebook Format exams with automatic
randomization of question papers.

Question Papers : Faculty members are empowered: a. to set their own
question papers b. to use common question papers c. to use
randomized questions from question bank as per the requirement.

Evaluation : On Screen Marking using Digital Valuation Systems
available on local server / cloud, Paperless Digital Exam Services
using exam pads.

Exam Types : Continuous assessment testcarriesan overall weightage
of 60%. The assessment tools include: written tests,assignments
andquizzes.The final assessment test carries 40% weightage.
