Although it is practically difficult to delineate the impact of this novel scheme, the very fact
that there has been a consistent increase in the number of quality publications by the

research scholars is a testimony that there is a definite impact of Raman Research Award.

For instance, the table below shows how the various research matrix has improved
significantly over years, especially, after the introduction of Raman Research Award in the

year 2019:

There is nothing that could be described as a problem encountered in having introduced
Raman Research Award, except for the huge financial commitment from the side of

management. Nonetheless the vision of the management is very clear and it has clearly

spelled out that this scheme will continue to be in practice to help identify active researchers
and provide them with the necessary encouragement.
