14.  Students  were  asked  to  make  miniature  models  of  the  protected  cultivation  structures  at

               home.
               15. The students were encouraged to prepare their household monthly budget to understand the

               theory behind microeconomics.
               16. Price influences  the Supply and Demand of the commodities  –  This was  analysed by the

               students for the domestic commodities utilized in the house.


               6.4.1.2. Graduation of First Batch of Students

               The first batch of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme (2018-2022) graduated during the 37
                                                                                th
               Annual Convocation of Vellore Institute of Technology held on 20  August 2022.

               6.4.1.3. Placements of First Batch of Students

               The companies that visited campus for placements of batch the 2018-2022 are South Indian Pest

               Control, Nucleome, Hi-Care Service, VeGrow, City Union Bank, Greenpod Labs, Grobest Feeds
               Corporation, Rasi Seeds and Isha Foundation. About 23 students were recruited through campus

               placements. Apart from these, 7 students were placed off-campus in BigHaat Private Limited,
               Entolabs Private Limited, Molecular Connection, Lawrencedale Agro Processing. Five students

               are pursuing higher studies in various Indian universities like Ramaiah Institute of Management

               Studies, Banaras Hindu University, VIT Chennai, Indian Institute of Business School, NMIMS
               and Five students have gone abroad for their post-graduation in Cranfield University- UK, Royal

               Melbourne  Institute  of  Technology  –  Australia,  University  of  Missouri  -  USA  and  in  Kassel
               University- Germany.



               6.4.2. Faculty Strength


               The  School  is  strengthened  with  qualified  faculty  in  various  fields  of  agriculture  including
               Agronomy, Soil Science, Agricultural Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Microbiology,

               Genetics  and  Plant  Breeding,  Biotechnology,  Crop  Physiology,  Agricultural  Engineering,
               Horticulture,  Food  Science  and  Technology,  Agricultural  Extension,  Agricultural  Economics,

               Seed Technology, Veterinary and Animal Science. Many of our faculty are trained abroad either
               for  Masters,  Doctoral  or  Postdoctoral  Research  in  countries  like  South  Africa,  Germany,

               Australia,  Morocco,  USA,  UK,  Canada,  Mexico,  Philippines,  South  Korea,  France  and
