Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) - has developed a student-centred
success culture and offers the highest importance to ensure consistent high
quality learning, teaching and research experiences. VIT has a culture of
diversity and inclusivity in the campus and welcomes unconventional
thoughts, cross fertilization of ideas, autonomy, multi and interdisciplinary
approaches. This is exemplified by the enrolment of about 28,000 students
from all the States, Union Territories of India and 55 different countries. In
addition, there is diversity in faculty members. VIT has A Grade
accreditation from NAAC, Government of India. Further, 14 of its
Engineering programmes have ABET- (USA) accreditation.
It offers a range of world class extracurricular facilities and support to
students, inculcating a sense of ownership among them. VIT has strong alumni
network worldwide and international linkages which are helping the students and
faculty members to establish networking at global level for collaborations.
