Deepavali celebrations

Deepavali/Diwali, the festival of lights is celebrated throughout

India and in many parts of the world symbolising the victory of good over

evil by renovating and decorating homes and workplaces with diyas (oil
lamps) and rangolis (artistic portrayals with the joyful use of colour and
flowers). On the occasion of Diwali being at home with family means the

world to celebrants. Students who are unable to visit their family during
the auspicious festival are given an opportunity to celebrate at hostels

with friends and staff to bring in the same cheer as like at home.

On the evening of 27 of October, 2019,Diwali the festival of hope
was celebrated at the basketball court of Ladies Hostel following all the

fire safety norms precautiously. It was a sparkling event and students
shimmered in their grand, gorgeous new dresses. The basketball court was joyfully illuminated with
fire crackers to the delight of all. Celebrants recorded the memories of the evening not only in their

minds but also through beautiful snapshots. Lighting of crackers brought out the child in all of us. Cheer
of celebration went on till the end of the event and everyone was thankful to God with prayers in their

minds for peace and happiness.
