How to identify Psychological Issues

Events team in coordination with Department of Counselling, VIT conducted a session for the

Wardens and Supervisors on the 29th of October, 2019 to guide the mon how to understand and identify
psychological issues faced by students. Dr. Rita, Head counselling division addressed the gathering and

spoke on how to identify students' problems. She also
advised the staff on the importance of learning

different languages inorder to communicate well with
students. Mr. Felix addressed on how to be friendly

with students and help them understand
the rules and regulations of hostel. Dr. Dhanalakshmi,

Ms. Hannah and Ms. Dipika Minj conducted fun-
filled activities for the staff. Mr. Parthiban stressed on

how to identify psychological issues, refer students
for counseling and have a follow up regarding the

issues. Ms. Pallavi spoke on how to approach counsellors for certain specific issues and give basic
counseling to students. Staff actively participated and also enjoyed the fun events.
