Children's Home Visit

Visiting a children's home kindles bittersweet
emotions in individuals. The reason for organizing such
visits for students are to make them realize how privileged

they are. Ladies hostel team along with around 50 students
                                                                th
visited a nearby " Children's Home" at Kasam, on the 29 of
October, 2019. A circular was floated inviting students to
participate. On a rainy evening we left the campus by the

Institute's bus and reached the home to be warmly greeted

by the lovely inmates who were eagerly awaiting our
           arrival.

The children were so well disciplined and sat in neat rows in their prayer hall and keenly listened to

their administrator who gave a brief summary on the home and on how one can sponsor a kid annually or
for a life term. Complete school education is provided to all and they also facilitate their students higher

studies. Each child started pairing up with our students and started conversing, playing, singing and
dancing. Inmates of the home enjoyed the presence of our students and shared many memories. Students

and staff also entertained them, took beautiful photographs as memories. Students donated beds, pillows,
buckets, food items, etc., Faculty and staff contributed for their daily meals.

Though the onward ride was slightly bumpy due to rain, each one of us carried the lingering
memories of the evening back home. This gave a feel that either we gain more in helping the needy or they

gain more from being served. This noble visit spread happiness among the privileged and the under
privileged. The lesson learnt was that, serving our compatriots, our human race can only bring in peace and

happiness. Such visits can create a spark in the minds of students which may help serve in bringing light in
the lives of the under privileged.

The entire team enjoyed being with them to the fullest.
