The department of Mathematics has a good record of frequently organizing seminars, workshops, symposium and conferences in the recent emerging technical areas. VIT Mathematical Meet is conducted every year by the department, which is a south India level math and science contest for school children to create and encourage mathematical and scientific innovations among the students.
