On Saturday, the two-day national-level inter-collegiate cultural and sports festival ‘Vibrance 16’, organised by VIT University at their Chennai campus, concluded in style.

While distributing the prizes to the winners of competitions, playback singer Chinmayi rendered a few lines from Tamil and Hindi songs, much to the delight of the students.

The overall championship for cultural competitions was bagged by Loyola College, Chennai, and the title of overall champion in sports went to VIT Chennai.

VIT University Assistant Vice-President, Kadhambari S. Viswanathan, Pro Vice-Chancellor P. Gunasekaran and Big FM RJ Mridula were present on the occasion. Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of events including the ramp walk.

Satwik Pushphalin, a third-year engineering student from Madurai, who was going around the VIT Chennai campus capturing the colourful presentations by participants of Vibrance 16 with his Nikon D3300 camera, was ecstatic about the event.

"If photography is about shooting candid expressions, this is the best place."

A student from Nellore, V. Ashwin, said that the number of new friends they had made during the proceedings was the highlight of the two-day event.
