Dean's Message

V-SPARC, the VIT School of Planning and Architecture strives to be a Centre of Excellence in Architectural and Planning Education and Research focussed towards evolving socially sensitive individuals equipped with design and technology process and realisation skills to contribute responsibly to the changing needs of the natural and built environment.

V-SPARC engages proactively with other institutions in the country and in international locations to foster a greater understanding of the subjects of architecture, planning and the environment in conjunction with heritage and technology through a various rigorous curriculum and research initiatives.

The School implements a progressive Curriculum Applied Learning (CAL) process into its curriculum propelled by a fully flexible credit system (FFCS) thus providing students the opportunity to engage in varied subjects of their choice even within the mandated learning skills required of a professionally qualified student.

A Master's Degree Programme in Architecture and other allied subjects and research programmes are proposed to be offered in addition to the undergraduate B.Arch programme over the next five years of the course.
