With over 300+ international MOUs across the globe, VIT has strong international presence across the world. Due to these MOUs our students get a chance to visit our partner university in their last semester under Semester Abroad Programme(SAP). We have International Transfer Programme (ITP) where the student can study 2 years in VIT and 2 years in any of our partner universities and get a degree from there.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) today has signed a MoU with School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) of George Washington University (GWU) to establish a Preferred International Partnership Program that allows students who have obtained their bachelor’s degree within the five years preceding their application to GWU or who will graduate with a bachelor’s degree from VIT in the year preceding their application to GWU the option to apply for a GWUSEAS Graduate degree program with Graduate Program application fee waiver and enhanced opportunity for scholarships.
International Relations Office of VIT organised a FAM tour to delegates from Madagascar, Benin, Bangladesh, Gabon and Morocco.
VIT welcomes the first batch of 8 PhD candidates from Ghana who came , as part of the capacity building agreement between VIT, Periyar African Foundation (PAF) and Ghana Technical Universities. Through this agreement, VIT will help faculty from various technical Universities in Ghana to upgrade their qualifications and enhance their skills.
VIT - Vellore and Shandong University of Technology (SDUT), Zibo, China jointly organized 2nd International Summer school on “International summer school on Internet of things and Data Analytics" during 1-13 August 2019. There are 26 students and a faculty member from SDUT have participated in this programme. This summer school combines lectures and hands-on exercises with the use of open-source software tools available on IoT techniques with the small electronic device embedded in objects, machines and things that connect to wireless networks and sends and receives data. They also have got an exposure to techniques and processes of data analytics automated into mechanical processes and algorithms that work over raw data for human consumption. VIT Vice President Mr. Sankar Viswanathan appreciated the summer school participants from China with the course completion certificates. VIT University International Office team and Faculty members of the School of Computer Science and Engineering have jointly coordinated this programme.
