- Preventing water system pollution
The campus water bodies and other water systems are well protected from pollution. Some of the specific measures taken in this direction are:
- Creation of tree lined and well raised bunds around the lake
- Creation of aeration systems in lakes
- Covered and masonry wall protected wells
- Periodic maintaining of drinking water storage systems
- Periodic monitoring of water quality at various points including drinking water output from RO plants and water output from sewage treatment plants
- Periodic maintenance of rainwater harvesting system
- Segregation of waste at source and disposal
All the Open wells are fenced for protecting the water from pollution. Also maximum care is taken to avoid the polluted/ waste water mixing with the water sources.
