VIT and Wadhwani Foundation Introduce ‘Ignite’ and ‘Lift-Off’ Programmes for Student Founders
We are glad to announce a strategic partnership between VIT Vellore and the Wadhwani Foundation. This MoU exchange marks a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and economic development. The MoU exchange was formalised by our Founder and Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan and Mr. Rajeev Warrier, EVP Wadhwani Entrepreneur, in the presence of VIT Vice Presidents Dr. Sankar Viswanathan & Dr. Sekar Viswanathan and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Partha Sharathi Mallick.
Through this collaboration, VIT students and early-stage startups will gain access to two flagship programmes:
- Ignite: A 14-week experiential journey taking aspiring innovators from “problem discovery” to “pitch-ready” prototypes.
- Lift-Off: A zero-equity accelerator designed to help early-stage ventures scale with expert mentoring and go-to-market strategies.
Together, we are building a bridge between classroom innovation and real-world impact!
