Team VAUV
Team VAUV, VIT’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) team, specializes in designing and developing cutting-edge AUVs to tackle real-world underwater challenges. Competing at both national and international levels, the team is expanding its focus on marine exploration while refining expertise in hydrodynamic analysis, embedded systems, control algorithms, sensor integration, structural analysis, and waterproofing.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and hands-on experimentation, Team VAUV strives for excellence in underwater mechatronic systems. Notable achievements include participation in the Underwater Vehicle Design Challenge (UVDC) at IIT-G (2024), qualification for the Singapore Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge (SAUVC) in 2020 and 2025, and securing 1st place nationally in the CDR round of Teknofest, Turkey (2024). With a commitment to innovation, the team continues to push the boundaries of underwater robotics.
