GIS Day is an annual event dedicated to showcasing the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. It aims to inspire and educate people about the various applications of GIS in their daily lives, from work and school to hobbies and interests. This year's theme emphasizes how GIS has transformed our perception of the world, enabling us to discover hidden trends, support sustainable growth, and make informed decisions using location data. GIS Day was first celebrated in 1999 and is now a global event observed on the third Wednesday of November.
