The School of Electrical Engineering (SELECT), VIT is thrilled to announce the successful inauguration of the Schneider’s Center of Excellence – Smart Building and Smart Factory Laboratory! This cutting-edge facility, fully funded by Schneider Electric, marks a major commitment to nurturing future engineering talent.

We were honoured by the presence of our esteemed guests from Schneider Electric India: Ms. Sandhya Devi Varanasi, VP, R&D; Mr. Subhasis Mishra, VP, Head-HR, R&D and Digital and Mr. Anoop Hiwalay, Director -TA. The event was also graced by VIT dignitaries, including Vice President Mr. Sankar Viswanathan, Executive Director Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Vice Chancellor Dr. Kanchana Bhaaskaran, and Registrar Dr. T. Jayabarathi, officers from Schneider Electric and faculty members from SELECT.

This Centre of Excellence is set to bridge the gap between learning and real-world application, offering students a hands-on environment to master Smart Building and Smart Factory technologies. The future of electrical engineering is being built right here!
