The 5th Indian International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) – 2025, jointly organised by our School of Mechanical Engineering and Business School was successfully inaugurated on the 6th of November, 2025!

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Berit Irene Helgheim, Director, Centre for Healthcare Operations Management, Molde University College, Norway, as our esteemed Chief Guest and our alumnus Mr. Nishant Behl, Founder and CEO, EMB Global, Gurugram, as the Guest of Honour. Our Honourable Founder and Chancellor Dr. G Viswanathan presided over the function. Joining them on stage were our Vice President Mr. Sankar Viswanathan, Executive Director Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Registrar Dr. Jayabarathi T. and the Deans of the organising schools. The other distinguished guests included Advisor to the Chancellor Dr. Krishnaswami Srihari and other members of the official body of IOEM.

The following awards from IOEM were also awarded during the event:

• IOEM Transformative Education Leadership Award to Dr. G. Viswanathan
• Distinguished Educator Award to Dr. Krishnaswami Srihari
• Outstanding Faculty Award to Dr. Berit Irene Helgheim
