Class rooms

VIT Business School (VITBS) has two smart classrooms with Lecture capturing facility. The remaining classrooms are with Digital smart boards, wi-fi connections and Biometric attendance.

Labs

VITBS is equipped with two computer labs - Finance Market lab and Innovation lab with 152 clients and 7 servers. With these two labs, the students of VITBS can access e-learning resources such as Harvard Business School Publishing, Emeraldinsight (Journals & Case studies), Coursera, Ekalvya and Edusat programme. In addition, access to journals and databases such as EBSCO - Business Source Complete (Management Research Database), ABI/INFORM COMPLETE (ProQuest), CMIE Prowess, CMIE – Economic Outlook [earlier Business Beacon], IMF(International Monetary Fund – Statistical data and full text), SAGE Online Journals (Selected), ScienceDirect (Elsevier), Springerlink Journals, CAPEX and ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (ETD). The labs are also harnessed with various software packages like IBM SPSS, AMOS, Tally9, WEKA, SAS, learnbiz, palisade, Oracle and so on.

Pedagogy and Learning Ambience

Along with lecture mode, VITBS faculty adapts blended learning pedagogical tools like case methods, simulation, role play, group discussions, debates etc., for making the learning as pleasure. As part of each course, students are taken to industry visits for exposing them to real time business scenarios. In addition minimum of two guest lectures are organized by inviting executives from the industry.

Library

The Central library spreads over to ground plus six floors with an area of 7770 sq.m. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm and CCTV surveillance.It has specialized collections of Books, Journals & other resources in Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management ranging from printed books, e-books, back volumes and CDs\DVDs.The Central Library subscribes to national and international journals in print and e-Journals. The library has a video conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses.Central Library is using LIBSYS software for Library automation and implemented RFID technology with self issue and return kiosk, WEB-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), and online renewal facility
