By encouraging healthier lifestyle choices and lowering plastic waste, public water access also contributes to environmental sustainability. The institute provides free drinking water to all its stakeholders when they are in the campus. The institute has RO plants for treating the water. Drinking water outlets are made available in all strategic locations including hostels, academic area, laboratories and canteen. VIT is providing RO water to the entire VITians and visitors by having multiple RO units in different buildings.
