Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and SUNY Upstate Medical University, USA, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaborations in health sciences, biomedical engineering, and translational medicine. The partnership will advance initiatives including joint research, PhD co-mentorship, student/faculty exchanges, and clinical trial partnerships.

This collaboration marks a major step toward global engagement for VIT’s School of Health Science and Engineering (SHINE). As a program rooted in clinical engineering, the VIT–SUNY Upstate MoU will enable students to learn directly from international clinicians and significantly strengthen VIT’s commitment to advancing healthcare innovation from bench to bedside.
