Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has partnered with TVS Motor Company through a strategic MoU signed at the VIT Vellore campus by Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan and TVS executives Mr. R. Anandakrishnan and Mr. R. Babu. This industry-academia collaboration focuses on advancing next-generation mobility research, sharing state-of-the-art lab infrastructure, and providing students with experiential engineering internships. Additionally, the partnership introduces specialized B.Tech. Lateral Entry and work-integrated learning programmes, managed alongside leadership from VIT’s School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC) and the Centre for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), to cultivate future-ready tech talent.
By combining VIT’s academic excellence with TVS Motor’s industrial expertise, this alliance creates a powerhouse for automotive innovation and hands-on skill development. The initiative underscores VIT’s ongoing commitment to building strong corporate frameworks that directly enhance student employability and research output. Moving forward, both organizations will work in tandem to solve real-world engineering challenges and define the future of sustainable transportation.
