VIT-TECDIA (Japan) AI Innovation Cell Inaugurated at VIT Vellore

VIT’s School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE) proudly inaugurated the VIT-TECDIA (Japan) AI Innovation Cell yesterday, marking a major leap in industry-academia collaboration!

The inauguration was graced by Mr. Shingo Koyama, President and CEO of Tecdia and Ms. Kana Amaya, Tecdia Business Development from Tecdia and our Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan officially inaugurated the centre in the presence of Vice Presidents Mr. Sankar Viswanathan and Dr. Sekar Viswanathan, Executive Director Dr. Sandhya Pentareddy, Vice Chancellor Dr. Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Partha Sharathi Mallick, Registrar Dr. Jayabarathi T. and Dean – SCOPE, Dr. N. Jaisankar along with other faculty and staff members from VIT.

This isn’t just a lab – it’s the new IT Design Centre for TECDIA Group. The cell will focus on developing advanced AI software for automated visual inspection systems and implementing the Syteline ERP system globally. Most importantly, this hub will create substantial employment and career development opportunities for Indian engineering students, bridging the gap between talent and global technology demands.
