Continuing the tradition of the Department of Mathematics at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore; this year too, on 8th January 2025 on the auspicious occasion of “National Mathematics Day” we are going to tender our sincerest homage to the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan by organizing VIT MATHFEST 2024.
Ramanujan was and still remains one of the finest mathematical geniuses this land has ever produced. His works culminated in giving birth to numerous other mathematical arena in Analysis, Number Theory, and Continued Fractions etc.
The proposed VIT MATHFEST 2024 is conceived, keeping undergraduate/postgraduate students and research scholars as the primary audience. On 8th January 2025, several invited talks aiming towards this group of target audience are going to be conducted in VIT, Vellore. Awareness about importance of Mathematics in day-to-day life is going to be communicated throughout the program.
