  • There is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION.
  • Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
  • Candidate should be Resident Indian National.
  • The Admission will be on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination (+2).

INTEGRATED PROGRAMMES ELIGIBILITY


Integrated M.Sc. Computational Statistics and Data Analytics (5 year)

A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State/Central Board of Secondary Education, or an equivalent examination, with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Business Mathematics group with a minimum of 60% overall marks. Mathematics must have been studied as one of the subjects.

Age Limit : Date of Birth falls on or after 01.07.2006
Integrated M.Sc. Food Science and Technology (5 year)

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany / Zoology as subjects with a minimum of 60% overall marks.

Age Limit : Date of Birth falls on or after 01.07.2006
Integrated M.Sc.(Biotechnology) (5 year) with exit option B.Sc. Biotechnology (3 Year) or B.Sc. Biotechnology (Hon) (4 Year)

Integrated M.Sc. Physics (5 Year) with exit option B.Sc. Physics (3 Year) or B.Sc. Physics (Hon) (4 Year)

For Integrated M.Sc. Programmes The aggregate marks obtained in the subjects in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

  • The qualifying marks is relaxed by 10% i.e. 50% in 12th or its equivalent for applicants belong to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura.

  • Applicants belonging to SC/ST category should submit community certificate.

  • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. They should submit Nativity Certificate.

Relaxation in qualifying marks:

A 10% relaxation in the minimum aggregate marks is applicable for the following categories. Accordingly, the minimum required aggregate is 50% in +2 or its equivalent for:

  • Applicants belonging to SC / ST categories
  • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura

Document requirements:

  • Applicants belonging to SC / ST categories must submit a valid Community Certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the North Eastern States must submit a Nativity Certificate issued by the competent authority.

For Vellore, Bhopal Caution Deposit Rs.2000/- (for 1st year only)

  • NOTE:

  • The qualifying marks is relaxed by 10 % i.e. 50% in Overall Aggregate for applicants belong to SC/ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

  • Applicants belonging to SC/ST category must fill in the proforma as given in Appendix-II and have it attested by a competent authority (The list of authorities empowered for the same is given in Appendix-II.)

  • Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. They should fill in the Nativity Certificate given in Appendix-I.

  • Applicants from NIOS / Correspondence mode are not eligible to apply.

FEE REFUND POLICY: AS PER UGC NORMS

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • Admission based on Online Counselling

  • Applicants are processed in the order of merit based on the aggregate of marks (rounded to 2 decimal points) secured overall subjects in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination.

  • In case the aggregate is same, the order of merit will be decided based on the best scores in overall subjects in the +2 / Higher Secondary Examination sequentially and in case of tie, the age i.e. older applicants are given priority.

  • After declaration of results applicants can give their campus and program preferences, (i.e., applicants can give “n” number of choices).

  • Seat will be allotted based on Rank, Preference of Campus, Programme (Subject to availability).

  • Allotment of seat for a programme and campus once made is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.

  • Once seat will be confirmed applicants will receive their Provisional Admission Letter, Applicants can pay their full Tuition Fees through online mode on or before To be Announced.

  • The Commencement of classes will be announced through mail.

How To Apply ?

New User Registration

  • Applicants has to apply only through Online Mode on VIT website, www.vit.ac.in
  • Valid e-mail address and active mobile number are required.
  • Enter all the relevant details carefully.
  • An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
  • Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address.
  • All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.

Filling online Application Form

  • Fill in the relevant fields carefully. An Application Number will be generated after filling primary details.
  • Refer this application number in all your future correspondence.

Payment Process

  • Payment cost of Rs. 600/- should be paid through Netbanking/ Credit card/Debit card/Paytm.
  • Application cost is non-refundable.

Document upload

  • Applicants need to upload the following mentioned documents on the application portal, subject to their availability within the specified time frame.
  • Copy of Birth certificate.
  • Copy of 10th Class Marksheet.
  • Copy of 12th Class Marksheet / Statement.
  • Copy of 12th Exam Hall Ticket / Admit Card.

  • Download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence.
  • Applicants need not send a hard copy of the completed application form to VIT.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED (While reporting)

The following documents are required to be submitted at the time of Admission: (along with a set of Xerox copy)

  • 2 no’s of recent passport size colour photographs.

  • Class-X mark sheet (as a proof of date of birth).

  • Class-XII mark sheet of Qualifying Examination of all attempts.

  • Migration / Transfer / School Leaving Certificate (Original).

  • Conduct Certificate (Original).

  • Copy of Provisional Admission Letter.

  • An undertaking for good conduct and behaviour in a prescribed form issued by the Institute at the time of admission to be submitted in original.

  • The candidates should produce statement of final year marks and Provisional degree certificate before August 14th 2026, failing which admission will be cancelled with the forfeit of admission fee.
