Formula Student Teams
Team Pravega Racing is the official Formula-SAE Combustion team of VIT-Vellore. Founded in 2005, the team has a vast history of glorious achievements spanning across numerous competitions. Their accolades include- winner of the inaugural Formula Bharat in 2017, Alongside this, Pravega Racing stands as one of the best teams from India to compete in FS Germany, FS Italy and other significant Formula Student competitions.
Pravega Racing inspires skilled engineers to join forces and achieve the impossible at every stage.
Team Ojas Racing, the official Formula Student Electric Team of VIT Vellore started as a hybrid team in 2012 and entered the electric category in 2013. Ojas Racing has established its frontier among the formula student electric teams across the country and achieved numerous feats over the last decade.
Apart from being one of the most successful teams in national-level events like Formula Green Coimbatore, Pi EV and Formula Bharat, Team Ojas also has also established its presence in international competitions such as Formula Electric Italy and Formula Student Germany.
Team Uttejit was founded as a Karting team in 2013 by a group of ambitious students. Eventually they evolved into the Official Formula Student Hybrid Team of VIT Vellore.
Being a Hybrid team, Uttejit involves an extensive workforce which spans across all domains. They were champions at the Formula Imperial 2017 and 2020 editions and have followed a successful stint ever since.
Team Asena Racing is the only All-Women Kart Racing team of VIT-Vellore. It was founded in 2024 by a group of passionate and skilled women, with the commitment to challenge stereotypes and inspire female engineers and provide a platform to their dreams and desires.

The official Baja International team of VIT Vellore, Jaabaz, was founded in 2009. With a dedicated and passionate team, they have built a strong legacy in off-road student motorsports, particularly in the BAJA SAE International competition. Their impressive performances in 2018, 2019, and 2022 showcase their skill and perseverance.
Committed to innovation and collaboration, they continue aiming for an even brighter future on the global stage.
Team Kshatriya is the official BAJA SAE team of VIT-Vellore. It was Founded in 2006, with the aim to compete in the BAJA SAE India and M-BAJA championships.
With over 19 years of continuous innovation and competition, they have established themselves as one of the country's most formidable teams, earning more than 20 prestigious awards along the way.
With its roots being VIT’s ATV team- Team Kshatriya, the official eBAJA team of VIT, Vellore, Team Kshatriya Electric began operations in 2021 with a mission to design and develop high-performance Electric ATVs.
Since its inception, the team has worked tirelessly to innovate and compete in prestigious national events, including BAJA SAE India and eBAJA. They made their debut at eBAJA SAE India 2025 in Hyderabad and aim to establish themselves as a leading force in the field of Electric ATVs.

Established in 2016, Team Rev Mechanics is the official MotoStudent team of VIT, Vellore and one of the most recognized MotoStudent teams in India.
With their primary focus on the prestigious MotoStudent competition held in Barcelona, Spain, Rev Mechanics made an impressive debut at MotoStudent Aragón in 2018. Fuelled by a team of passionate and skilled individuals, they look to engineer motorcycles that meet the competition’s rigorous standards.
In recent years, Rev Mechanics has expanded its expertise into the MotoGP Electric Student sector, further solidifying its presence in the world of student motorsports.

Team Celerity is the official SAE Solar Car team of Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, dedicated to designing and developing solar-electric vehicles for sustainable transportation. Comprising passionate engineers from various disciplines, the team works under the motto "Innovate to Sustain," striving to create energy-efficient vehicles that align with the future needs of India.
Focused on cutting-edge innovation, Team Celerity competes in the Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC), Asia’s largest solar vehicle competition. Through advanced engineering, aerodynamics, and renewable energy integration, the team pushes the boundaries of sustainable mobility. Beyond competitions, it aims to promote eco-friendly transportation and inspire the next generation of engineers to drive the transition toward a greener future.

Assailing Falcons is the Advanced Class Aircraft team of VIT Vellore. The team was established in 2010 by a group of engineers passionate for aviation and with the determination to strive and take on the world.
They have designed and built over 15 aircraft over the years, achieving numerous milestones. Today, with 2nd Rank in Asia/Pacific and a 7th Worldwide Rank Assailing Falcons is a renowned name among collegiate aviation teams worldwide.
Founded in 2016, Team Albatross is the official Regular Class Aircraft team of VIT, Vellore.
Albatross is a passionate group of aviation enthusiasts dedicated to RC aircraft design, manufacturing, and flight. Over the years, they have established themselves as a successful aero team, securing 1st place overall at SAE Aero Design East 2020, along with numerous other notable achievements.
Team Vimaanas INC is the official micro class Aero team of VIT, Vellore founded in 2010. Over the years the team has evolved significantly and cemented their place in the world of Student Aircraft teams.
They bring together a group of individuals with a fascination for flight and a desire to achieve remarkable success. At the SAE Aero Design 2020, they secured 2nd place Globally and 1st Place in Asia/Pacific, a testament to their hard work and dedication. Vimaanas strives to improve and push boundaries every day.

Team Rotor FPV is the first specific drone team of VIT Vellore. It was founded in 2019 with the motto to train its members to become professional drone pilots and be at par with collegiate drone teams across the globe.
They have produced commendable results at ISDC, Aero Rush and other national college-level Events in recent years.
Rotor FPV has significantly evolved into a dominant force among Indian Drone teams and aims to challenge teams at the global stage. It strives for excellence in every event it participates.
