Centre for Nanotechnology Research (CNR)

Projects

The Centre has received a grant of INR 294 lakhs from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under Nano Science and Technology Initiative (NSTI) for the postgraduate teaching programme (M. Tech. in Nanotechnology) in the year 2006. Meritorious students admitted to M. Tech. Nanotechnology were provided with a monthly scholarship. A Class 1000 Clean Room (with provision Class 100) with Lithography and Semiconductor characterization facilities were established. A new wet Chemical Synthesis Lab was set up including chemical workbench, fume-hood, high-speed centrifuge, rota-evaporator, spin-coater, thin film metal evaporation (PVD) and Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). Based on the effective utilization of the first phase of funding from DST, the Centre was chosen to receive a grant of 462 lakhs in the year 2015
