World Water Day is held globally on March 22nd every year since 1993 to create awareness on water. Theme of World Water Day 2026 is “Water and Gender” which emphasizes safe drinking water and sanitation as fundamental human rights and critical enablers of gender equality, directly contributing to Sustainable Development Goals 6 and 5. In connection with World Water Day 2026 celebration Centre for Clean Environment (CCE) VIT, Vellore is organizing a one-day seminar on ‘Gender Equality for Sustainable Water Management’. The main objective of the seminar is to create awareness on water quality and water management emphasizing the theme of World Water Day 2026. Lectures will be delivered by experts from premier academic Institutions & Industries.
