This workshop is a collaborative initiative involving VIT-Vellore, CMC-Vellore, and ICMR under the CLIMB-India (CLIMate Change and Brain Infections in India) CAR project. It delivers hands-on training in machine learning and time series methods for climate-sensitive disease modelling using Python. Participants engage with real epidemiological and climate datasets, retrieve ERA5 and CDS data, develop machine learning prediction pipelines, and examine the impact of climate variables on disease incidence. The three-day programme integrates lectures delivered by various faculty with expert sessions led by invited external specialists.
