Wearable Technology and IOT Enabled Virtual Laboratory / Project Laboratory
Overview
Project lab is a dedicated, hands-on workspace designed for students, engineers, and hobbyists to design, build, test, and troubleshoot practical electronics engineering prototypes. Unlike traditional theory classrooms, a project lab focuses on experiential learning, turning abstract formulas and textbook concepts into working physical or digital systems. The lab provides the platform for faculty – students technical discussion, 24×7 lab access and work space for student’s team projects and industrial projects.
Objectives
- To provide hands-on practical knowledge of fundamental and advanced electronic circuit design principles.
- To understand, analyse, and test various analog and digital communication techniques
- To program, interface, and deploy embedded systems using microcontrollers, single board computers and GPU computers.
- To develop systematic troubleshooting and debugging skills for identifying hardware faults and resolving signal integrity issues and to gain practical experience in assembling, soldering, and testing real-time hardware prototypes on breadboards and PCBs.
- To promote teamwork and technical discussion on project ideas and implementation to develop application oriented complex engineering capstone and industry projects.
Key Focus Areas
- System simulation, mathematical modelling, and performance validation using software tools like Python, MATLAB, LTspice, and Proteus.
- Robotics (ROS)
- Under water Robotics
- Wearable devices and IoT
- Remote Lab operations
- Automotive Audio and DSP
