Anatomy & Physiology Lab
Overview
The Anatomy & Physiology lab is a core teaching facility under the school of Electronics Engineering (SENSE).It is a lab suited for hands-on learning of the structure and function of a human body along with theory of life science biological process. This lab is equiped with human skeleton models, biological charts and 3D models of organs like brain, heart, lungs. The lab also has optical microscope using which cells and tissue cultures can be visualized and other preserved organs specimens can also be analyzed which will help in understanding the body functions practically.
Objectives
- To identify different parts of the human body such as bones, organs & tissues
- To understand how organs and systems like heart, lung& brain function
- To utilize lab instruments like microscopes & BP apparatus hands-on
- To analyze cells and tissue cultures using the microscopes
- To connect classroom knowledge with real life body functions
- To observe, record and analyze the experimental results
Key Focus Areas
- To gain knowledge about the size and shape of a human body including their structural locations
- To study human organ functions like heart pumping and lungs breathing
- To analyse the structure of various cells and types of tissues like muscle and nervous>
- To study major skeletal systems like Muscular system, Digestive system, and Respiratory system
- To observe different changes in the human bodily functions during occurrence of a specific disease
