Welcome to the School of Computer Science Engineering and Information Systems!

The School of Computer Science Engineering and Information Systems (SCORE) is one of VIT’s distinguished schools. We offer a broad assortment of programmes in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Computer Science and Computer Applications. The curricula of these programmes are designed with stakeholder’s feedback and benchmarked against the best in the world. We handhold our students and facilitate their learning process throughout their curriculum. Our faculty team has diversified expertise covering all areas of computer science & information technology, and they are incredibly proficient educationalists, prolific mentors and dexterous intellectuals. The school has active interaction with industry with domain-specific, state-of-the-art industry-sponsored laboratories.

Our School is focused on establishing new standards of excellence, which equip our students in the following areas:

Programmes Offered
  • SCORE offers B.Tech in Information Technology , B.Tech – Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering ) ,B.Tech – Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), along with Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programmes, each designed to provide in-depth knowledge in the respective specializations.
  • The school offers an M.Tech programme in Software Engineering (Integrated) and a Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
  • The school offers full-time Ph.D. Programme, supporting advanced research and academic development.

Faculty members from the School of Computer Science Engineering and Information Systems possess expertise in various cutting-edge technology domains. The school actively engages in research and development (R&D) projects sponsored by both international and national funding agencies. Faculty members have successfully secured funds from prestigious organizations such as the European Union and the British Council. National funding agencies, including the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), are currently supporting several ongoing projects within the school. Additionally, faculty members benefit from the VIT seed grant, which provides initial funding for project startups.
Faculty members from SCORE actively engage in consultancy projects, offering their expertise to solve industry-specific challenges. These projects span diverse domains, providing innovative solutions to organizations while fostering academia-industry collaboration.

The school periodically organizes various International Conferences with speakers from top abroad Universities, Workshops, Guest Lectures, Value Added Programs, Hackathon, Makathon and Ideathon for students and professionals. The school also conducts Faculty Development Programme for faculties from various top notch industries and IITs to enrich knowledge up to date technologies and industry practices.

How does the school help your students or community?

At VIT, we have implemented a unique Proctoring Scheme designed to provide personalized support and guidance to our
students. Each proctor is assigned up to 20 students and serves as a mentor and foster parent. They take on the moral
responsibility of ensuring the academic progress, emotional well-being, and overall welfare of their students.

Proctors act as a point of contact for any issues or concerns students may have, from academic challenges to personal or
psychological pressures. When students approach their proctor, the proctor assumes the role of a parent, counsellor,
facilitator, or friend, depending on the situation, offering the necessary support to ensure their comfort and success.

By adopting an empathetic, ego-free approach and showing genuine interest in the students’ futures, proctors go the
extra mile to nurture an environment of servant leadership. This supportive and proactive guidance helps students feel
valued, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential.
