Age Limit

Applicants born on or after 01.07.2006 are eligible to apply for UG Science & Humanities programme for the academic year 2026-2027.

Applicants must present the Age proof (Birth certificate / Passport copy) as proof of their age during counselling / admission. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the admission process.
Qualifying Examination
-
The final examination of the 10+2 / HSC system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 / HSC examination.

Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge) at the Advanced (A) level.

High School Certificate Examination at the Advanced (A) level of the Cambridge University/Pearson Edexcel regulated by UK.

High School Certificate Examination of the International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.

Applicants who have studied through regular, full-time and formal education with English as one of the subjects are eligible to apply.

In case of applicants belonging to SC/ST community or applicants hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, 10% relaxation is provided. Certificate to prove community / nativity should be produced at the time of councelling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
Selection Criteria

Admission will be based on the performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 / HSC).

Seat allotment is based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability.

During online counselling, candidates can prioritize their choices.

Information regarding seat allotment, instructions for admission fee payment, and downloading the allotment letter will be communicated to candidates through the counselling portal.

Candidates can download the provisional admission letter after full fee payment.

Provisional admission is subject to cancellation at any point of time if the candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility requirements.

The fact that a candidate has been qualified and called for the counselling does not guarantee admission to him / her. This depends upon the candidates rank and the availability of seats.

Candidates should register with a valid email ID and mobile number, as all correspondence will be communicated through these registered email/mobile number only.

The application cost is Rs.600, and it is non-refundable.
Steps to be followed for online application
Register yourself by clicking on "Sign Up" (New applicant)
Verify your registered email address by using the OTP received from VIT.
Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address. Keep this email ID and password secure until the admission process is complete.
Fill out the online application form with required information. The list of Boards along with respective code is listed out in the Prospectus. The Board code of study in the qualifying examination should be mentioned accurately. In case of any discrepancy in the board filling on the application form and submission of relevant document at the time of admission will lead to cancellation of admission.
Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs.600 using Net banking, Debit card and Credit card.
Upload Age proof certificate, 12th Hall Ticket and 12th Mark sheet.

The candidate should submit the qualifying mark statement from the board studied as mentioned on the application form for verification of genuineness at the time of admission. In case of submission of any fraudulent, incompetent certificate by the applicant will lead to legal action and the admission accorded will be duly cancelled and no refund will be initiated.

No. There is no entrance examination. Admission is merit-based on Class 12 (10+2/HSC) marks.
The application fee is Rs. 600, payable online and non-refundable.
All 11 programmes are offered at the VIT Vellore campus, delivered through five schools: VIT Business School, School of Social Sciences and Languages, SCORE, V-SMART, and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
Class 12 with 70% overall aggregate and one of these subjects: Commerce, Accountancy, Book Keeping and Accountancy, Mathematics, Business Mathematics & Statistics, Business Studies, Business Management, Business Economics, or Economics.
It is a four-year programme where students complete the first two years at VIT Business School and the next two years at Binghamton University (SUNY), USA. Eligibility for India is 80% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 with Mathematics. Eligibility to transfer abroad requires a cumulative GPA of at least 8/10 at VIT plus English proficiency proof.
Class 12 with 70% overall aggregate in the qualifying examination. This applies to all four B.Com tracks: Bachelor of Commerce, Business Process Management, Banking and Capital Markets, and Financial Technology.
Class 12 with 70% overall aggregate and Mathematics, Business Mathematics and Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Basic Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Class 12 in any stream with 60% overall aggregate, or a Diploma (10+3) in any stream with 60% aggregate.
Class 12 in any stream with 50% overall aggregate, or a Diploma (10+3) in any stream with 50% aggregate.
A 10% relaxation in the eligibility percentage is offered to SC/ST applicants and applicants from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and North Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura). Community or Nativity Certificate is required at counselling.
The annual tuition fee is INR 90,000 with a one-time refundable Caution Deposit of INR 5,000. Total first-year fees are INR 95,000.
The annual tuition fee is INR 1,27,000 with a one-time refundable Caution Deposit of INR 5,000. Total first-year fees are INR 1,32,000.
Tuition is INR 77,000 for B.Sc Hospitality, INR 99,000 for B.Sc Multimedia and Animation, and INR 1,28,000 for B.Sc Visual Communication. Add INR 5,000 Caution Deposit for total first-year fees.
Candidates who completed Higher Secondary Education in Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, or Tiruvannamalai districts are eligible for a Rs. 10,000 scholarship under the GVSD Programme. Terms and conditions apply.
