The automobile sector is evolving quickly, and new developments in technology will fundamentally alter how we travel. The automobile industry is expected to see interesting advancements soon, from driverless to electrified vehicles. The industry has undergone a transformation, and the customer experience has been improved via the use of Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data analytics to optimise their operations. Manufacturers are now investing in green technology, such as battery powered vehicle, biofuels, and hydrogen engine, fuel cells, to lessen their carbon footprint because of a greater focus on sustainability and environmental friendliness. Electric and software systems within the automotive industry are becoming more and more advanced. The vehicles operated on roads are nowadays driven by software technology. The objective of this program is to cover the fundamental as well as advanced concepts and principles of advanced combustion technology vehicles, hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles, including battery technology, hydrogen in mobility, power electronics, electric motors, control systems, embedded system, autonomous and connected vehicle technologies and employed in smart mobility. The program provides the competent skill set to the students to match the industry demands towards the smart mobility sectors. Students will aid the support from industries like (RNTBC), Chennai, Volvo Group India, Athers Energy during their course in terms of lecture and internships. Within this context, this master course is aiming for promoting and exploiting smart mobility knowledge that would upskill students to work in smart vehicle system domain.
